Paid Holiday on Poll Day for Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Jammu & Kashmir
Lok Sabha Election Holidays in Jammu and Kashmir 2024: The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has announced an official paid holiday on 19.4.2024, 26.4.2024 and 7.5.2024 for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. This decision is intended to promote voter participation and civic involvement. The holiday will be observed by central and state government employees, as well as individuals employed in local bodies, schools, anganwadis, corporations, and public sector organizations.
The Election Commission has instructed private sector offices and factories to also grant their employees the necessary arrangements to cast their votes in the upcoming election. This proactive initiative is designed to ensure that all eligible voters have the opportunity to engage in the democratic process and have their voices heard.
