Paid Holiday on Poll Day for Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Haryana
Lok Sabha Election Holidays in Haryana 2024: The government of Haryana has officially announced a public holiday on the date of the Lok Sabha election, which is scheduled for May 25, 2024. This holiday applies to all government offices at the central, state, public sector undertaking, corporation, local body, and panchayat levels to enable employees to participate in the voting process.
Additionally, educational institutions will remain closed on both the polling day and the day of vote counting. Private companies, especially those in the IT and BPO sectors, have been advised to also declare a holiday for their employees to ensure they can exercise their voting rights. Furthermore, small businesses and shops are encouraged to make necessary arrangements to allow their staff to cast their votes accordingly.
