SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered for various roles within the SSC CHSL Exam 2024, meeting the educational qualifications by 1st August 2024 is crucial. For positions such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade ‘A’ (excluding specific Departments/Ministries), candidates must have completed the 12th Standard or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University. Furthermore, individuals aiming for Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade ‘A’ positions within the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and the Ministry of Culture need to hold a 12th Standard qualification in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or its equivalent.

Prospective candidates must fall within the age range of 18 to 27 years, meaning those born between 02-08-1997 and 01-08-2006 are eligible to apply. Additionally, there are provisions for age relaxation beyond the upper age limit in accordance with the established rules and regulations.

SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Salary Package

The SSC CHSL Exam 2024 features a range of salary packages for different roles:

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) falls under Pay Matrix Level-2, with a base salary of Rs. 19,900, which increases to Rs. 37,845 in metro areas.
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO) is positioned at Pay Matrix Level-5, offering a basic pay of Rs. 29,200, with a total of Rs. 57,960 in metro cities.
  • Data Entry Operator, Grade A, is categorized under Pay Matrix Level-4, providing a basic pay of Rs. 25,500 that escalates to Rs. 51,300 in metro locations.
