Lakshadweep RTE School Admission PDF 2024: The 2024-25 Lakshadweep RTE School Admission List in PDF format is now available. According to the RTE Act of 2009, a significant piece of educational legislation, all states and Union Territories are mandated to uphold the ‘Right to Free and Compulsory Education’ provision in unaided private schools each academic year.
Under the RTE Act, private schools are required to set aside 25 percent of their seats for students from socially disadvantaged and economically backward backgrounds. Specifically, this reservation applies to 25% of seats at the entry level, encompassing Lower Kindergarten (LKG) and Class I, for students coming from economically and socially disadvantaged segments of society. Moreover, priority is given to children of conservancy workers, those impacted by HIV, individuals with disabilities, and orphans during the admission process under the RTE Act.
The admission process should commence with notifications that allow sufficient time for online applications to be submitted for admission to the nearest private school. Furthermore, the selection process must be carried out in a fair and transparent manner, potentially utilizing a Draw of Lots system. Subsequent to this selection process, the outcomes should be shared publicly by posting the list of accepted candidates on the school’s notice board and publishing the information on the school’s official website, which includes the names and roll numbers of all successful applicants.
