Significance of Kalki Jayanti

In the village of Shambala, as foretold by the ancient Puranas, Kalki is destined to be born into a Brahmin family to Vishnuyasha and Sumati. This prophecy unfolds as the Kali Yuga draws to a close, envisioning Kalki as a skilled warrior riding a celestial white horse named Devadatta, brandishing a fiery sword. Accompanied by the wise parrot Shuka, gifted with knowledge of past, present, and future, Kalki embarks on a quest to vanquish wicked empires and confront Kali, a malevolent demon endowed with yogic abilities to manipulate and induce wrongdoing. Through his heroic exploits, Kalki reinstates righteousness, ultimately returning to his realm and transcending to Vaikuntha.

Celebration of Kalki Jayanti

At the festival, followers rise early in the morning to cleanse themselves before the break of dawn.
