Lok Sabha Election Holidays in Delhi 2024: The government of Delhi has formally declared a public holiday on the day of the Lok Sabha election, set for May 25, 2024. This holiday is applicable to all government offices at various levels, including central, state, public sector undertakings, corporations, local bodies, and panchayats, with the aim of facilitating staff participation in the voting process.
Furthermore, educational institutions will be closed on both the polling day and the vote counting day. Private enterprises, particularly those operating in the IT and BPO industries, have been recommended to grant a holiday to their employees to ensure their ability to exercise their voting privileges. In addition, small businesses and retail establishments are encouraged to make necessary provisions for their employees to cast their votes accordingly.
