Tamil Nadu TN RTE School Admission 2025-2026 Last Date to Register of Candidates Name!
TN RTE School Admission 2025-26: For the academic year 2025-26, the Government of Tamil Nadu has announced a significant initiative regarding the reservation of 25% seats for TN RTE School LKG or Class-1 admissions. In accordance with the Right to Free and Compulsory Education for Children Act, students are now eligible to seek enrollment in LKG and Class I at private self-financed schools. This notable provision is designed to promote equal educational opportunities by facilitating access to quality education through admission in these reputable educational institutions.
TN RTE School Admission 2025-26 Registration Date Schedule
The online portal for RTE admissions in Tamil Nadu is currently inactive and will soon be available for use. The anticipated date for online registration for admission into LKG or Class 1 at local private schools is expected to be in mid-March 2025. The online registration period will last for approximately one month. Following this, the complete list of candidates will be forwarded to the respective schools, where the management will take further action. The state government will not be involved in this process. The school management will decide whether to accept or reject applications for various reasons. The entire admission process is scheduled to take place in April, with the final date for admission set for May 31, 2025.
TN RTE EWS and DG 2025-26 Lottery Process
There will be no lottery draw system for enrolling within the available vacancy seats for selecting the candidates applying under RTE 25 admission in Tamil Nadu. However, this does not mean that the process will be free from challenges. Every school will undoubtedly receive multiple applications from children seeking admission under the EWS and DG categories, particularly for Class-1 or LKG. As a result, a Draw of Lot system must be implemented to fairly select children for RTE 25 admission.
To ensure transparency and equal opportunity, each school will establish a committee tasked with overseeing the Draw of Lot event on the school premises in the presence of all applicants’ parents. This committee will include two parents of the applicants to further uphold fairness. Following the lottery draw event, the first selection list will be promptly displayed on the school’s notice board and uploaded to their official website to keep all stakeholders informed.
