Department of Employment and TrainingDE (DET) TN ITI Admission 2024: Enrollment for vocational training institutes (ITI) in Tamil Nadu for the year 2024 is now open. The state boasts a total of 102 Government Vocational Training Centers and 305 Private Vocational Training Centers managed by the Employment and Training Department. The recruitment process for coaches for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025 was successfully conducted online and concluded on June 28, 2024.
Individuals who have completed 8th or 10th grade are eligible for direct admissions to these vocational training centers, with the enrollment period running from July 1, 2024, to July 15, 2024.
Those interested can visit the centers in person with their certificates to select their preferred profession and begin their vocational training journey. Many apprentices who have completed training at vocational institutes in Tamil Nadu have landed employment opportunities in various leading industrial firms over the years.
The Government Vocational Training Institutes offer apprenticeships in modern industries, including those adhering to Industry 4.0 standards essential for today’s industrial setting. Students are urged to grasp this chance for skill enhancement and career progression.

TN ITI Admission 2024: How to apply online?
For the 2024 Tamil Nadu ITI Admission to Vocational Training Institutes, applicants must carefully review the instructional video and manual before proceeding with the application process. Original certificates need to be ready for submission at the vocational training center during admission to avoid disqualification.
Applicants bear the responsibility of ensuring the accuracy of all uploaded information, as any inconsistencies may lead to rejection by the relevant authorities at any stage of the application process.
When completing the application form, have the following documents ready:
- Candidate’s Full Name
- Valid Email Address
- Contact Phone Number
It is crucial to provide a unique and valid email address and phone number, as they cannot be changed and will be essential for future communications. Make sure these details are not already in use on the platform.
The Date of Birth should confirm that the candidate will be 14 years old by 01.08.2024. Additionally, include information regarding Community/Caste (ST/SCA/SC/MBC/DNT/BCM/BC) and provide the Aadhaar number as required.

TN ITI Admission 2024: Required Documents
Please provide the necessary details to complete the online application fee payment using various payment methods such as debit card, credit card, Gpay, or net banking. Note that for the year 2021, only parents of 10th-grade students should register the 9th-grade marks.
Ensure the following certificates are scanned and saved in JPEG format with a file size ranging from 50 kb to 100 kb:
- 8th/10th-grade Mark Sheet
- Transfer Certificate
- Community/Caste Certificate
- Priority Reservation Certificate
- Migration Certificate (required for candidates from other states).
Additionally, make sure to scan and prepare passport-sized photos and signatures in JPG format with the following size specifications: Photo (50kb to 100kb) and Signature (10kb to 20kb). The EMIS No. can be found on the student’s Transfer Certificate or School ID card.
