It is important to note that admission to KV schools is not restricted solely to Central Government employees; it is open to all. Children aged between 3 and 7 years are eligible to register for classes including Pre-KG, LKG, UKG, and Class 1. In the KVS system, these classes are referred to as Balvatika-1, Balvatika-2, Balvatika-3, and Class 1, respectively. If your nearest KV school is accepting registrations for one or two entry-level classes for the upcoming academic year, you may apply to multiple KV schools. There are no admission fees or additional costs associated with registering your child on the official KVS admission portal; the process is entirely free and fair. It is advisable to avoid intermediaries and refrain from making any payments for admission.
The admission process under the RTE Quota is based on chance, with selections made through a Draw of Lots (Lottery Selection Method) conducted by the nomination committee at your local KV school. You are welcome to attend the Draw event in person or view it via live streaming on YouTube. The registration process takes only about an hour, and if fortunate, your child may gain admission from Class 1 to 12 without incurring any costs. The education provided is entirely free and of high quality, adhering to the CBSE curriculum, and delivered by experienced educators.
