Lok Sabha Election Holidays in Telangana 2024: The Telangana State Government has announced a paid holiday on the day of the Lok Sabha election poll, which is scheduled for May 13, 2024. This holiday applies to all central and state government offices, local bodies, panchayats, undertakings, corporation offices, and educational institutions to allow employees to cast their votes. In addition, IT companies, corporate offices, and major commercial establishments are expected to comply with the guidelines provided by the Election Commission.
Small business owners are advised to facilitate their staff in exercising their voting rights by granting half-day leaves or arranging for two-hour rotational breaks.
