Lok Sabha Election Holidays in DNH and DD 2024: The Government of D&N Haveli and D&D has announced an official paid holiday on 20.5.2024 to boost voter turnout and civic involvement during the upcoming Lok Sabha election. This holiday will apply to central and state government employees in D&N Haveli and D&D, as well as individuals employed in local bodies, schools, anganwadis, corporations, and public undertaking organizations.
Additionally, the Election Commission has instructed private sector offices and factories to grant their employees time off and necessary support to exercise their voting rights in the upcoming election.
