CGEGIS Scheme 2024: Updated Benefit Chart for Govt Employees
CGEGIS Scheme Table of Benefits, Subscription Rates 2024: The CGEGIS Scheme Table of Benefits and Subscription Rates for 2024 showcase the unique insurance initiative tailored for central government workers. Through consistent monthly contributions, employees gain access to a lump sum insurance cover.
Originating in the 1970s, the scheme initially provided a significant sum assured at a nominal Rs.10 premium per month, making it a popular choice back then. Presently, various insurance providers offer substantial sum assured values up to a crore with low premium commitments under Term Insurance schemes. Despite the emergence of these modern alternatives, the CGEGIS scheme remains a compulsory selection for government staff, even though it may not possess the same allure as newer options.
