Bihar RTE School Admission 2025-26: Reimbursement Status
Section 12(2) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act delineates the procedure for compensating Private Unaided Schools that enroll students under Section 12(1)(c). The reimbursement is calculated based on either the per-child expenditure prescribed by the State or the actual fees charged by the school, depending on which amount is lower. This reimbursement is intended to cover the costs associated with 25% of admissions in private unaided schools under Section 12(1)(c) of the RTE Act. The provision of this reimbursement has been administered through Samagra Shiksha since the fiscal year 2014-15, previously falling under the purview of SSA.
